आज दिल भर आया...!!!

"It is said that Full Moons are traditionally associated with temporal insomnia, insanity (hence the terms lunacy and lunatic) and various "magical phenomena" such as lycanthropy। Out of this phenomena, poured my heart out last night :) This "Hay" Moon of July has arrived like unforgettable blessing!"

पूरे चाँद को देख कर लगा, कोई दिल में आया !
वो इत्नी मोहब्बत से मिला, कि दिल भर आया !!

उन्का ख़्याल तो, हवा का झोंका बन कर आया !
अपनी तो कहानी थी, और उन्का दिल भर आया !!

कहते हैं, ऐसा फ़रिश्ता कभी ज़मीं पे नहीं आया !
उन्की बेवक्त कज़ा कि ख़बर सुन, दिल भर आया !!

आज हमसे, अपना आईना भी मिलने आया !
जिसकी प्यार भरी बाँहों में, दिल भर आया !!

क्यूँ किसी के, रात भर जलने का दिन है आया !
शम्मा को देख कर परवाने का, दिल भर आया !!

माज़ी आज अपने साथ, यह कहाँ ले आया !
ज़िंदगी के सफ्हे पलट कर, दिल भर आया !!

वो अपने साथ, बरसात का मौसम भी ले आया !
खुदा को आँसू बहाता देख, आज दिल भर आया !!

Yeh Hai Dallas Meri Jaan...!!!

2 years, 2 days and 2 hours of my past life have been spent in a place nicknamed as "Big D". Yes, this is the Big Apple of the South West! Yeh Hai Dallas Meri Jaan...is about a ghazal penned in past few days of being nostalgic about Dallas.......!!!

"A City, where i have spent endless beautiful moments of solitude, where learnt some of most important lessons of my life, lost and found above all emotions as well, where realization of time became a important revelation, where created sailboats for upcoming storms, where rewriting the maktub become an intrinsic part, where someone somewhere someone special would be a part of my life:-)!"

कितनी रातें तन्हा गुज़ारी हैं, इसके साथ,
काश आप साथ होते, तो क्या बात होती !

कुछ पाया भी, कुछ खोया भी, जाहाँ में इसके साथ,
नए मोड़ से शुरू होती ज़िन्दगी, तो क्या बात होती!

कैसे लोग और कैसे हादसे मिले, इसके साथ,
कभी किसी से कह पाते, तो क्या बात होती!

सोचा था वो भी मिलेंगे कभी, दिल्लगी से इसके साथ,
वक्त से पहले उनसे मुलाक़ात होती, तो क्या बात होती!

अश्कों का सागर भी पार किया है, इसके साथ,
हमें तूफां की ख़बर होती, तो क्या बात होती!

हाथों की लकीरें भी चली हैं, इसकी राहों के साथ,
ख़ुद को बाँट डालता हर कोने में, तो क्या बात होती!

जाने अब, "इसका साथ" कब तक निभाना पड़ेगा,
कर दिया होता तेरे हवाले, तो क्या बात होती!!

Fragrance of Deep Meditation!

क्या बात है....!

A month, four days and 3 nights have already passed this year and time seems to be fizzling out of one's hand like sand. Every now and then, one crosses different paths in his or her life and realizes how they could be intertwined with some past moments. To express the mixed emotions arising out of this experience, is a following poetic attempt. Hopefully you'll will enjoy reading it!

क्या बात है, जो आज उन्की आंखों में आँसू आ गए,

किस तरह बताएं तुम्हें, की यादों के आल्म आ गए !

जाने क्यूँ , उन गलियों को छोड़ कर हम आ गए,
उनको दोबारा पुकार न सकें, ऐसे मौसम आ गए !

हमारी बातों में, आज फिर किसी के किस्से आ गए,
न वो हमारा, न किसी का रहा, ऐसे ज़माने आ गए !

अब न चाहें भी तो, ऐसे इम्तिहाँ आ गए,
ख़ुद की तनहाई में, जीने के बहाने आ गए !

शम्मा के रात भर, जलने के दिन आ गए,
फिर उनकी चाहत में, ऐसे परवाने आ गए !

मुझको याद नहीं कैसे, वो इतने करीब आ गए,
जिनका ज़िक्र भी नहीं होता, उनके ख़याल आ गए !

आप न जाने, किस मोड़ पर हमसे मिलने आ गए,
एक नज़र ही उनकी हम पे रहे, फिर ऐसे मंज़र आ गए !!
